Empower Users Group 2024 (EUG)

AzTech International participated in the Empower Users Group (EUG) 2024 in May, where our team, including Luis Contreras and Tim Fritz, gathered insights on industry advancements and project management best practices. Key highlights from the event included:

DOE PM Workshop:

• IPMDAR Enhancements: Updates focused on new features for the Integrated Program Management Data and Analysis Reporting (IPMDAR) system, including improved data integration and contract-specific templates, helping streamline defense contract management.

Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Program Execution:

• Discussion centered on the new strategic approach, emphasizing faster delivery and higher risk-taking to improve warfighter capability and meet evolving defense needs.

Artificial Intelligence in Project Management:

• Generative AI tools were showcased, including AI-based support for summarizing Variance Analysis Reports (VARs), automated traceability from Statements of Work (SOW) to Work Authorization Documents (WAD), and enhancing Integrated Baseline Review (IBR) processes.

NASA and Empower Utilization:

• NASA’s evolving use of IPMDAR and project management tools was a key discussion point, with an emphasis on increased utilization of Empower for schedule analysis, forecasting, and contract management.
